One Day Lecture Demo and Workshop

This one-day event will begin with a simultaneous 3-hour portrait sketch demonstration by both Travis Schlaht and Edward Minoff.
While painting they will have a conversation about their paintings, techniques and materials, while also fielding any
questions from the audience. They will present a reliable approach to drawing the portrait from life, discuss paint application,
color, the interaction of light and form, keying, capturing a likeness and structural anatomy.
The second half of the day will allow participants to paint their own sketches from the live model with individual critiques from both
instructors. After watching the demonstrations, students will have the chance to put these techniques into practice while still fresh
in their memories.
