Bio: Oliver Sin is an alumnus of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, where he earned a BFA in Illustration. Immediately after graduating in 1996, he embarked on his art career as a computer game concept artist at LucasArts. Since 2001, Oliver has returned to his alma mater as an art professor for the School of Fine Arts and 2D Animation. Oliver's passion for art began at a very young age, starting to draw at the age of 3. Portraiture has emerged as his preferred form of expression, a medium he consistently practices both as an art professor and as a personal hobby. His dedication to the craft is evident in his numerous achievements and contributions to the field. In 2019, Oliver published his first art book, "Drawing the Head for Artists," which has since been translated into Spanish, Dutch, and German in 2020. He further contributed to art education with his step-by-step instructional DVD, "Portrait Drawing Simplified," released by Streamline Publishing in April 2022. Oliver's talent has been recognized on prestigious platforms, including Time Magazine, where two of his portraits were featured on the cover for their "100 Women of the Year" project in the March 2020 issue. His vine charcoal portrait of his father won First Place in Drawing at the Portrait Society of America's International Art Competition in 2021. In acknowledgment of his consistent artistic excellence, Oliver earned "Signature Status" with the Portrait Society of America in 2022.
